Dug out this board game again. I have ordered 6mm Baccus Legionaries, auxiliary cavalry and command figures, to replace those in the game. The new, 10 and 15mm MDF bases have already arrived from Warbases.
The map is spectacular, both in size and the artwork. This could be used for so many things.
The central area.
Greece and the Middle East.
North Africa
Two different sets of rules.
Six factions.
The board laid out for the Classical Game, this is the positions after turn one.
I started this blog post a month or two ago and never completed it. Since then the Baccus 6 mm Legionaries, cavalry and commanders have arrived and been painted and based up, as have the galleys, catapults and cities that came with the game.
I have done a full play through of a six faction campaign over on my YT channel, https://youtu.be/qWiaXVSofNg but below is the opening set up for a four player campaign that I am about to play through.
Some views of the painted Baccus and original game components. Blue has deployed the bulk of its forces to Mesopotamia and Galatia.
Yellow too has divided into two main forces, in the foreground is Numidia and across the Mediterranean Sea in Achaia.
Green in Hispania is eyeing up neighbouring Narbonensis.
Red has split between Egyptus and Neapolis.
I shall take more photos of the campaign as it is fought out and post them here on my blog, for those interested.
